HAPPILY EVER AFTER

happily ever after

Everyone is not suitable for everything, this fact was understood by Trisha very well. Neither she was suitable for the life which her husband chose for her, Nor her husband was suitable for her, they were poles apart, so she took the liberty of freeing her husband and came to her city, ‘the city of joy’.However, things wouldn’t have been easy for her over here as well, if she did not have her Parent’s support and Suneil’s love. Suneil was a autistic 6 yrs old child who was a resident of the orphanage where Trisha worked as a teacher. Suneil, was found by the members of the orphanage in a local train, he never cried, nor ever did he laugh, he just smiled. Words and him were arch enemies, never they once crossed each other’s path, he had two toys, one a wooden mouse, another wooden horse. The horse always rode the mouse, and never the opposite. He wasn’t very friendly with anyone except Trisha, she somehow understood him more than himself, and he relied on her like a child relied on her mother.

29th February 2012, like any other usual late evening she was packing her bags to leave for home,Happily ever after Suneil was right behind her playing with his toys, suddenly he looked up at her, stared for a few moments went running to her and hugged her tightly from behind. He started giggling and for the first time a small word came from his mouth, ‘Ma’…. Over and over again for the first time he kept on repeating it। Trisha could not believe her own self that she  will be able to hear this word ever, that too from Suneil, who never uttered a single vocal. That very moment she decided to adopt him, because, at that very moment she found her life, she found her long lost happiness, she found her happily ever after.
